To the Tylecodon lovers out there. Several years ago I purchased a collection
of Tylecodons from a collector in South Africa. Included in this collection
were some Tylecodon wallichii, fergusoniae, and cacalioides. Most of the
plants were approximate 4 to 6 inches tall, and were leafless.
Fast forward several years, all of the plants are in leaf, and a mystery
plant makes itself known! This plant appears to be a cross between T. fergusoniae
and cacalioides. The stem is half way between these two species with few
projecting leaf bases, the leaves are bright green; rather than dull green,
and the upperside groove in the leaves ranges half way between these other
two species. Does anyone have any ideas? Click
